二零一一年八月一日開始，澳門正式推行新巴士營運模式，當中要求營運商車隊平均車齡要維持在七年以下，以及排放標準需達歐盟三型或以上，這意味著新福利需要購買新巴士，以符合有關規定。作為新福利巴士其中一間主要供應商，海格向新福利提供一百二十八架KLQ6108GQ，是新福利有史以來最大的巴士訂單。

海格KLQ6108GQ全長十點八米，儘管較早年新福利引進的KLQ6126G為短，但在新巴士營運模式下仍然屬於大型巴士。機械配搭方面都是屬於新福利的標準規格，歐三排放標準的東風康明斯引擎，以及德國開利超卓的空調系統，在全自動波箱方面，K126 - K236繼續選配福伊特產品，餘下十七架新車則改配ZF Ecomat波箱。隨這批海格KLQ6108GQ而來的還有新款的電子路線牌，除了常見的橙色，更出現以藍色背景紅色字體顯示路線號碼，不過直到目前為止，除少數KLQ6108GQ外，其餘巴士都已經改用標準的橙色LED牌箱。

這一百二十八架KLQ6108GQ新車可以再細分成KLQ6108GQ30及KLQ610828(K211 - K238)，主要分別在於前者車廂佈局安排為三十一個座位及四十個企位，後者則二十九個座位及四十二個企位，並且附有供輪椅停泊的位置，以及上落用的斜板。海格於二零一一年年中開始交付新車予新福利，經過調校及完成出牌前的檢修程序，於同年七月開始陸續出牌投入服務，好讓車長熟習新車操作，同時讓巴士機件作熱身，避免新營運模式下出現故障而影響服務及造成混亂。

到了二零一一年八月一日，全數KLQ6108GQ新車主要被派往行走25，26A，32，33及AP1等線，自當天起成為新福利路線中的主力，而在之後時間，新福利訂購新車時仍然屬意KLQ6108GQ，只是在排放方面由歐盟三型提升至歐盟四型，以至再後期的歐盟五型。不經不覺新營運模式已經實施了一段時間，若干KLQ6108GQ亦一如其他前輩一樣，從營運車隊中退出，成為私人租賃用途車輛，而餘下的KLQ6108GQ則仍然活躍於1A，25B，32及33等線。

Under the new bus operation mode was implemented since 1 Aug., 2011, the average age of each fleet was required not more than 7 years and have to meet Euro3 or above emission standard. Higer was one of the main bus manufacturer of Transmac and successfully supplied 128 KLQ6108GQ to cope with the change and this was the largest purchasing order of Transmac.

The overall length of KLQ6108GQ was 10.8m and though shorter than the KLQ6126G in the fleet, it was still class as full-sized single decker under the new operation mode. KLQ6108GQ shared similar mechanical specification with other Higer bus in the fleet including the Dongfeng Cummins engine,German made Carrier-Sutrak air conditioning unit. For the transmission unit, first 100 KLQ6108GQ were fitted with Voith gearbox while ZF Ecomat gearbox was chosen for the balance. Another feature of KLQ6108GQ was the route display can show the route number red in colour on a blue background, however, most of them were replaced with the standard orange coloured LED display.

Higer KLQ6108GQ can further divide into two sub-model, the KLQ6108GQ30 and KLQ6108GQ28 (K211 - K238). The difference between two model was the compartment layout, the former provided 31 seating and 40 standees while the latter, 29 seatings and 42 standees with wheelchair parking bay and ramp offered. All Higer delivered the KLQ6108GQ since the mid. of 2011 and registered and entered service in Jul., 2011, just before the start of the new bus operation mode.

Transmac allocated the Higer KLO6108GQ on route 25, 26A, 32 ,33 and AP1 on 1 Aug., 2011 and they soon become the backbone of the fleet since that day. Transmac then made further order for KLQ6108GQ but the emission standard was upgraded to Euro 4 or even the much strict one, the Euro 5 standard. After a period of the new operation mode, some KLQ6108GQ already withdrawn from the revenue service and used on private hire purpose and at present, you can find a KLQ6108GQ on route 1A, 25B, 32 and 33 easily.
