珀麗灣客運 Park Island Transport Co. Ltd.
珀麗灣是一個位於馬灣的大型私人住宅發展項目,其對外交通服務是由珀麗灣客運負責,主要提供穿梭巴士及對外渡輪服務。
珀麗灣客運成立於二零零二年,初期是由九巴控股(二零零五年改稱載通國際)及港九小輪共同創立及營運,其後經過重組成為新鴻基地產全資附屬機構。珀麗灣客運經營兩條分別來往中環渡輪碼頭及荃灣西站的航線。至於穿梭巴士方面,在公司營運初期,只有提供往返青衣機鐵站的路線,其後增設接駁葵芳新都會廣場的服務,又於二零零七年,分別增辦往返機場之巴士服務,以及接辦往返荃灣及馬灣的路線。
珀麗灣客運車隊初期是由六架配Plaxton Pointer車身的丹尼士飛鏢低地台巴士組成,該批巴士曾經於九巴車隊中服役,於二零零二年中從九巴車隊中退役,在進行翻新工程之後,於同年十二月復出行走。隨著更多居民遷入,珀麗灣為加強服務,在二零零三年,分別從紐西蘭購進三架當時最環保的巴士,Designline Olympus混能巴士,以及八架丹尼士Super Pointer Dart。而因應馬灣島內穿梭路線需要,珀麗灣客運亦購入一架豐田Coaster。在有需要時,陽光巴士及九巴亦會提供巴士支援。
截至二零一一年四月為止,珀麗灣客運車隊共有二十六架巴士,當中仍以丹尼士飛鏢佔大多數,另外有三架猛獅客車及兩架豐田Coaster。早年引進的混能巴士已經退役,而隨著來自中國的青年大型低地台巴士於二零一一年三月底陸續加入,來自九巴的飛鏢低地台巴士亦開始退役,最後一架丹尼士飛鏢於二零一四年四月初由一架猛獅NL323大型單層低地台巴士取代。
Park Island Transport Co. Ltd. is responsible for providing ferry and shuttle bus service linked between Park Island, a large scale residential project at Ma Wan.
Park Island Transport Co. Ltd. was established in 2002. It was a joint holding of KMB Holdings (renamed as Transport International and Hong Kong in 2005) and Kowloon Ferry Holdings Limited initially. After reconstruction, Park Island Transport Co. Ltd. now is a fully subsidiary company of Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd. Park Island Transport Co. Ltd. operated two ferry services between Park Island and Central, Tsuen Wan respectively. In addition, a shuttle service to and from Tsing Yi AR Station was launched and another service between Kwai Fong was commenced on 11, August, 2003. In 2007, Park Island Transport Co. Ltd. operated two new routes: NR334 between the Hong Kong International Airport and Park Island and NR331 running between Ma Wan and Tsuen Wan.
In the early stage of service, Park Island Transport Co. Ltd. operated 6 Dennis Dart SLF with Plaxton Pointer bodyworks purchased from KMB which new in 1997. As more and more residents moving in Park Island, 3 Designline Hybrid from New Zealand were introduced together with the Super Pointer Dart in 2003. A sole Toyota Coaster was also introduced for the internal shuttle service.
The fleet of Park Island Transport Co. Ltd. was mainly composed of Dennis Dart in Apr., 2011. In addition, 3 MAN coaches and 2 Toyota Coasters can be seen in the fleet. Those second-hand Dennis Dart SLFs from KMB were gradually replaced by YoungMan full-sized single decker of China since Mar., 2011. The very last Dennis Dart SLF was finally replaced by a MAN NL323 full-sized single decker in Apr., 2014.
