比亞迪K9R BYD K9R (九巴KMB)

早於二零一二年九月,比亞迪向九巴提供一架K9D電動單層巴士(BE1/RV8143)作試驗,並且曾於二零一三年九月到十月期間,安排行走往返蘇屋及尖沙咀碼頭的2號路線,成為本港首架用作載客營運的全電動巴士。當試驗期完結後,BE1未有繼續留在九巴車隊,行車牌照於同年十二月被取消,並且退回比亞迪。

香港特區政府於二零一二年透過環保處綠色運輸試驗基金,資助本港各家專營巴士公司購買電動巴士作載客測試,當中九巴在二零一四年至一五年間,招標購買電動巴士及其相關充電設備,最後比亞迪成功從九巴手上,奪得十架電動巴士及相關設備的合約。比亞迪是次向九巴提供的電動巴士型號為K9R,跟早年試驗的K9D最明顯的分別,K9R只需要於巴士外側設置電池安放位置,意味著巴士所負載的電池數目有所減少,但同時未有對巴士續航能力有絲毫影響。

另外,九巴引進的比亞迪K9R與城巴、新巴及嶼巴同型巴士最明顯分別,是九巴未有選取比亞迪原廠車身,而是委託位於馬來西亞的順豐車身廠,替來自杭州(除了首兩架新車)的K9R底盤,設計及裝配車身。完成車身裝配後,九巴的比亞迪K9R可以運載七十二名乘客,當中包括三十五個座位及三十七個企位,而順豐設計的車身除了較原廠車身更流線型外,同時在外側增設兩隻小窗,彌補了位於駕駛室後,因為放置電池櫃而被犧牲了的車窗。至於比亞迪電動巴士所選用的空調系統以及電子路線牌箱,悉數由日本電裝及Hanover提供,全是九巴車隊的標準。

首架裝配順豐車身的比亞迪K9R於二零一六年十一月下旬,經海路由馬來西亞運抵香港,首部新車BDE1(UT3742)於二零一七年四月十二日出牌,隨著更多新車登記出牌,九巴隨即安排新車於相關測試路線上作車長訓練。最終於二零一七年七月三十一日開始,九巴安排比亞迪電動巴士行走5C及6C線,作載客營運測試,有關測試於隨後時間先後進一步擴展至42A,603及35A路線。除了日常營運,比亞迪電動巴士更會在舉辦流動乘客聯絡小組會議時,被安排到不同巴士總站,作為乘客向九巴表達意見的場地。

The first electric bus serving commuters on revenue service in Hong Kong was the BYD K9D (BE1/RV8143) supplied to KMB in 2012, it was deployed on route 2 running between So Uk and Star Ferry between Sep. and Oct., 2013. KMB returned this demonstrator to BYD after trial was completed in Dec., 2013.

The franchised bus operator in Hong Kong was sponsored the Environmental Protection Department of the HKSAR Government in 2012 for acquiring electric bus and related facilities for evaluation. BYD successfully won the tender of supplying 10 K9R electric bus and charging equipment to KMB in 2015 and all the BYD K9R completed their bodywork at Gemilang in Malaysia after they were shipped from Hangzhou, China (with the first two chassis manufactured in BYD Shenzhen plant as an exception)

Though the driving range of the K9R is same as the K9D, the number of batteries was reduced and only one battery cabinet fitted on the offside behind the cab. To go one step further, two small windows added on the offside to compensate the lost of a window resulted form the fitting of the battery cabinet. The carrying capacity of BYD K9R is 72 passengers (35 seatings plus 37 standees) and the compartment was air conditioned by Denso while a Hanover electronic route display was fitted.

KMB received it first BYD K9R in the end of Nov., 2016 and the first was registered on 12 Apr., 2017 (BDE1/UT3742). The first batch of K9R first used on driver training along the routes that for evaluation. KMB first deployed BYD electric bus on route 5C and 6C for evaluation since 31 Jul., 2017 and then route 42A, 603 and 35A in later time. In addition, BYD K9R is also used as a mobile customer service center for collecting passengers feedback and suggestions.
