青年JNP6120GR YoungMan JNP6120GR

來自中國淅江省金華的青年汽車，再一次得到新創建交通服務有限公司垂青，於二零一四年訂購新車合共二十四架青年JNP6120GR大型單層空調低地台巴士，當中十六架被編配予城巴作為車隊更新之用。首兩架分別屬城巴及新巴的青年新車，於二零一五年一月底運抵本港，而當中城巴的新車隨於一月底進行驗車，而首批五架領牌新車亦於四月十四日開始投入服務。

城巴及新巴這次向青年訂購全新單層巴士，主要是用作替換各自車隊中，於一九九八年至九九年登記的單層巴士，當中城巴要替換的是德國猛獅NL262大型單層低地台巴士。城巴屬意青年作為接替猛獅的接班人，其實可說是有跡可尋。首先早於二零一二年，當隊中的富豪B6LE已屆退役之時，就是向青年引進JNP6105GR。其次，目前香港營運巴士環境算得上嚴竣，巴士公司在進行任何投資時都會比較謹慎，務求成本得以控制在一個合理水平，加上現時對於單層巴士需求不如九十年代般，亦導致營運者投放的資源較少，種種原因之下，青年客車便自然成為首選。

回頭再看這批青年新車，全長十一點七米，跟猛獅NL262長度完全一樣，但全車卻能運載合共七十一名乘客，較猛獅巴士多出兩人。車廂佈局跟猛獅NL262巴士亦十分相似，同樣於前軸上設有單人座椅，但不同的是青年JNP6120GR只設有三張的單人座椅，內側並沒有設有反方向的一人座椅。青年巴士機械配搭，由一台猛獅引擎連接福伊特全自動波箱組成，這不止是原先青年JNP6105GR配搭，亦是早年NL262的基本配搭，不同的是，今天用於青年巴士上的引擎是符合歐五排放標準。空調系統方面，則由猛獅年代的超卓換成現今標準的日本電裝，而橙色LED電子路線牌箱，則由Hanover提供，在這批青年上的側面路線牌是長形設計，足以提供目的地資訊予車外乘客。

目前這批青年巴士主要安排行走一直以猛獅NL262作主力的路線，計有11，12，25A，以及假日期間行走東區海底隧道路線606。

NWS Transport ordered a batch of 24 single deckers as part of fleet renewal and YoungMan from Jinhua, Zhejiang of Chain was successfully gained this order after provided a batch of 16 JNP6105GR single decker in 2012. The model of this order provided is JNP6120GR and the first two painted with City Bus and NWFB livery respectively were delivered in Jan., 2015.

City Bus acquired 16 of the batch and as a replacement of the aging MAN NL262 commissioned in 1998. It is not difficult to know why City Bus interested in YoungMan. At present, it is not easy to run a bus company and as a result, bus operator make any decision would be after an in-depth consideration. In addition, less resources would be allocated on purchasing single decker as it is not a main stream in the industry anymore. The product of YoungMan can successfully fulfill all the requirements imposed by City Bus and hence, the order went to YoungMan.

All YoungMan JNP6120GR is 11.7m in length and can accommodate with 71 passengers, two more than the MAN NL262 (11.7m in length). Like the MAN NL262, there are "one-seater" seats fitted on the front axle, however, only three "one-seater" seat on the YoungMan while the NL262 with 4 "one-seater" seat fitted. YoungMan JNP6120GR powered by a Euro 5 MAN engine and a Voith fully automatic gearbox, and a Denso air conditioning unit, almost is the standard on single decker at present, can be seen on this batch of YoungMan. Though orange coloured LED route display still supplied by Hanover, a longer side display was fitted and more details can be provided.

City Bus allocated the YoungMan JNP6120GR on route mainly operated by NL262 like route 11, 12 and 25A. In addition, YoungMan JNP6120GR will be deployed on Eastern Harbour Crossing service 606 during holidays too.
