新時代自二零一四年七月一日接管維澳蓮運營運的路線及車隊之後,為了改變公眾對舊公司的負面印象,積極改善服務,當中包括購入新巴士,以增強車隊運載能力,首批新車合約落入宇通手上,提供三十五架單層巴士予新時代。宇通提供予新時代的的巴士中,十架是長十點八米的ZK6118HGE大型單層低地台巴士,亦即是跟接收自維澳蓮運車隊中的同一型號,而新車車隊編號亦緊接著原先的巴士,由3088作開始。

型號名稱雖然一樣,但規格上這十架新車跟原先車隊中的ZK6118HGE,在若干地方上是有所差異。先撇除長度上的差異(原維澳蓮運購入的巴士只長十點五米),這批宇通新車採用歐四排放標準的玉柴引擎,較原先的ZK6118HGE只符合歐三排放標準來得要高。另外,由於新時代跟澳巴份屬姊妹公司關係,購車取向上亦跟澳巴一致,全數屬新時代的宇通ZK6118HGE傳動系統,由過往的福伊特換成Allison全自動波箱,而路線顯示屏亦改用大面積橙色LED牌箱。十架新車先後於二零一四年九月底交付予新時代,車身基本色彩維持維澳蓮運的設計,未有帶給人們太大驚喜,當完成一切測試及準備工作,陸陸續續於十月尾領牌上路。

這十架新車總載客量是七十五人,車廂內怖局亦來得較原先的宇通巴士來得合理,新車於十一月投入服務時,率先被安排行走澳門格蘭披治賽車的臨時穿梭路線,然後陸續派往行走關閘及外港碼頭的主幹線3號服務乘客,以及偶爾支援10號線,來往關閘及媽閣之間,充分利用新車高載客量的優點。隨著載客量更高的十二米宇通新車投入服務,這批十點八米宇通新車開始行走其他新時代路線,包括MT1,MT2以及55。

由於需要配合澳門政府嚴格執行,限制車重達十五噸或以上車輛駛過舊澳氹大橋(嘉樂庇總督大橋),為確保能夠有足夠符合規定的巴士行走過橋巴士路線,新時代於二零一七年十月底開始, 接收了澳巴二十一架ZK6118HGE,以彌補車隊中的宇通ZK6115HG1調往澳巴之後遺留的空缺。隨著二零一八年八月一日新時代正式併入澳巴,全數宇通ZK6118HGE一如新時代其他車隊一樣,於同日開始轉為澳巴擁有。

After taken over the whole network and fleet of Reolian, New Era actively in purchasing new buses to enhance the carrying capacity of the fleet and as an important move to improve the service standard. The first new buses order went to Yutong (the bus supplier of Reolian) with10 ZK6118HGE and 25 ZK6128HGE full-sized super low floor buses.

Though ZK6118HGE already existed in the fleet and the fleet number of new buses entered service in 2014 staring from 3088, immediately followed the original ZK6118HGE, there are some differences in specification. This batch of ZK6118HGE is 10.8m in length and little bit longer than those new in 2011, as a result a higher capacity of carrying 75 passengers resulted. Moreover, a Euro 4 emission standard Yuchai engine was fitted with Allison fully automatic gearbox instead of the Euro 3 Yuchai engine and Voith transmission unit. A large sized orange coloured route display was chosen and this is the standard of TCM, the sister company of New Era.

Yutong delivered all ZK6118HGE to New Era before the end of Sep ., 2014 and all of them registered in the end of Oct ., 2014. As their cousin serving in TCM, they were deployed on the temporary shuttle service of the Grand Prix in early Nov ., 2014. As they had the highest carrying capacity at that time, New Era assigned most of the new ZK6118HGE on the trunk route 3 plying between Portas do Cerco and the Jetfoil. As the commissioned of the much higher capacity ZK6128HGE, they are now mainly serving route 10,55, MT1 and MT2.

A fleet exchange programme was carried out in the end of Oct., 2018 as a result of vehicles which gross vehicle weight 15 tonnes or above was not allow to pass through Macau-Taipa Bridge (Ponte Governador Nobre de Carvalho), a batch of 21 Yutong ZK6118HGE from TCM was transferred to New Era as a replacement of the ZK6115HG1 transferred to TCM. All Yutong ZK6118HGE were transferred to TCM on 1 Aug., 2018 when New Era merged to TCM.
