三菱Rosa Mitsubishi Rosa

香港公共小型巴士於一九八三年開始步向空調化時代,有賴三菱推出Rosa所致,但論之後巿場佔有率,則是遲來先上岸的豐田Coaster佔優。愉景灣區內出現日本小型巴士並不是新鮮事,在一九九一年為配合開辦區內的購物專線,愉景灣交通服務有限公司向三菱購入首兩架Rosa BE439F型時,早已擁有十架豐田Coaster服務居民及訪客。

這次購入三菱Rosa外觀上跟同期的三菱Rosa大同小異,但經過本地捷聯車身廠改裝後,擁有一道寬闊的四扇門,以方便攜帶手推車或嬰兒車的乘客進出,至於車廂入面設有行李架,並且預留大面積位置作企位,能提供十個座位及十六個企位。愉景灣交通服務有限公司車身色彩,亦隨著這批Rosa到鶡茈X現橙白色的購物專線專用塗裝。為了增強購物專線服務,再有兩架Rosa分別於一九九二年及九五年投入服務。這四架經改裝的三菱Rosa最終分別因載客量低及車齡漸高,先後於二零零零年及零三年退役,並由低地台版本丹尼士飛鏢及猛獅12.220取代。

除了上述四架三菱Rosa,愉景灣交通服務有限公司為替換兩架豐田Coaster,再於二零零一年購入兩架Rosa BE649J型(編號HKR75及77),跟購物專線三菱Rosa最主要分別是全車提供共二十九個座位,不設企位。這兩架Rosa主要行走區內客量需求少的路線如1及6號,而車隊編號亦因配合全新企業形象,於二零零八年改成DBAY75及77。雖然DBAY75已經於二零一一年退役,但二零一二年尾,愉景灣交通服務再購入一架二手三菱Rosa,車隊編號DBAY155。

Though Toyota Coaster gained the largest market share in Hong Kong minibus market, however, the air-conditioned era of minibuses in Hong Kong was started by the introduction of Mitsubishi Rosa in 1983. When acquired minibuses for the newly launched Shoppers' Bus in 1991, Mitsubishi Rosa BE439F was chosen instead of the Toyota Coaster, which DBTSL already run a fleet of 10.

The appearance of these two Mitsubishi Rosas are almost the same with other served in Hong Kong. As to cope with the need of Shoppers' Bus, they were modified by local builder Jit Luen and resulted in wider four-leaf doors and fitted with luggage rack. Though they are minibuses, they can accommodate 26 passengers with 16 standees. The orange and white livery was first applied on this batch of Rosa and indicated they were running the Shoppers' Bus service. Two more Mitsubishi Rosa were ordered in 1992 and 1995 respectively to enhance the Shoppers' Bus service. All these Rosa minibuses were finally withdrawn between 2000 and 2003 and replaced by brand new Dennis Dart SLF and MAN 12.220 which can provide a higher capacity.

Further delivery of Mitsubishi Rosa to DBTSL was made in 2001 with two Rosa BE649J (HKR75 and 77) were ordered for replacement of aging Toyota Coaster in the fleet. Unliked those serving Shoppers' Bus, they are 29-seated with no standees allowed. The Mitsubishi Rosa BE649J mainly served the low demand route 1 and 6 and their fleet number were changed to DBAY75 and 77 in 2008. DBAY75 was de-registered in 2011 while a second-hand Rosa, DBAY155, was joined in the end of 2012.
