短車檔案室簡介 About Cute Bus File

歡迎蒞臨「短車檔案室」，一個以主要介紹本港短陣雙層巴士及單層巴士的網站，作為網站主人，希望藉此機會介紹有關這個網站誕生緣起。

「短車檔案室」並不是我自己第一個建立的網頁，在之前，我曾經編寫一個名為「沙田巴士網」的網站，顧名思義，以沙田巴士路線作主題，後期更加加入巴士相片，基本上香港的巴士，不論是短車與否，我都有把我拍攝過的相片，加入網站。至於今天的「短車檔案室」，為何會出現於大家的眼前，跟「沙田巴士網」可以說是有一定的關係。早年，由於我還是一位學生，只能夠利用免費的Geocities寄存網頁，但眾所周知有一個道理，就是世上沒有免費的午餐，「沙田巴士網」曾經多次因被Geocities凍結而要重新登記網址及上載內容，但到了最後一次，因為我的電腦曾因中毒而令很多檔案遺失，令部份內容已經沒有再上載一段時間，所以在最後一次，我不得不放棄這個差不多經營了三年的網頁。

不過，那時仍然未能夠放低編寫巴士網頁的興趣，偶然記起一位巴士迷這樣說過：

「你的網頁(指「沙田巴士網」)中的九巴利蘭奧林比安九點五米專輯做得不錯，可以考慮設計一個短車為題的網頁呀」

就是這句說話，加上「香港巴士年鑑2002」中一篇有關短車的專題文章，「短車檔案室」開始在我腦中構思，這次我也決定利用Uhome作寄存網站，而在籌備初期，我是從自己興趣出發及盡量以短小的文字去介紹每款車型，以及著眼於九巴的雙層短車，但後來發覺其實還有很多資料值得我去發掘，於是乎我不斷增加其他有關短車的題材，而且，介紹亦愈來愈詳盡。你不難發現，早期如九巴利勝利二型的介紹跟後期如城巴丹尼士飛鏢的介紹，在篇幅上是有很大的分別。

在二零零二年七月二十五日，「短車樂園」開始運作，其實連我自己都不太記得正式開始運作的日子，但為何選擇七月二十五日這個日子，也沒有印象，在往後時間，網站亦改名成「短車檔案室」，更能切合網站介紹本港短車軸巴士的主題。值得一提是，短車本身是指長度十一米以下的巴士型號，故此網站內容開頭是著眼於長度十一米以下巴士，但隨著網站發展，單層巴士不論長度是否十一米以下亦陸續加入，而一些專題內容亦不在此限。

不經不覺，網站已經運作將近十年，自己也沒想到網站已經有十歲，雖然現在資訊流通十分發達，任何消息基本上很快已經可以透過網上論壇得到，但我始終相信，網站正如書本一樣，不會因此受到淘汰，相反可以與論壇資訊達到相輔相成效果，畢竟網站跟書本一樣，可以將資訊鎖定於特定時間，當需要搜尋任何資料時，網站仍可成為其中一個可靠的途徑。說到目前網站未來發展方向，將會盡量緊貼周邊資訊，包括自己外地遊歷所見所聞，加上拍攝過的照片，加入網站以進一步豐富內容。

Welcome to my personal website, Cute Bus File, a website mainly focus on the short wheel-based double decker and single decker in Hong Kong. I would like to take this as a chance to introduce the origin of the born of Cute Bus File.

Cute Bus File, is not my first website about buses. The first bus website I wrote, Sha Tin Bus Web was first created in 2000 based on all information about bus routes serving Sha Tin and photos about Hong Kong buses were added later. I was a student in 2000 and can only afford using the free hosting provided by Geocities. Sha Tin Bus Web was forced to close several times as Geocities frozen the account and finally, a lot of files lost after my desktop was attacked by virus resulted in many contents not yet put back on the site, so I decided to close Sha Tin Bus Web after almost three years since the page opened.

I found an article in Hong Kong Bus Year Book 2002 about Cute Bus in Hong Kong. In addition, a bus enthusiast told me that the page about KMB Leyland Olympian in the site was good and why not set up a page focus on short wheel-based buses in Hong Kong. With his support and I still interested in building bus web page, Cute Bus File was set up and this time, I used Uhome as hosting. Cute Bus File is interest-oriented and mainly focus on the short wheel-based double decker of KMB at the early stage, however, more topics related to the theme were added and the descriptions of each topic become much in detail.

Cute Bus File was officially opened on 25, Jul., 2002, and one thing I would like to point out that, the term "Cute Bus" should be referred as buses length below 11m. Since it is the webmaster own interest, topic about single decker were then not comply this rule together with some specific topics.

It is hard to believe that Cute Bus File opened for almost ten years. Though you can get any up-to-date information easily now, I strongly believed that liked books, website still play a significant role because website can provide a reliable source of knowledge of specific period and supplement any information get in forums. More and more topics will share in Cute Bus File and I hope everyone visit my page enjoy it.
