富豪奧林比安

富豪短軸距雙層巴士在香港來說，只佔有一個極少的比例，城巴這個忠實富豪支持者也只不過擁有十部十點四米的三車軸奧林比安空調巴士。所有城巴短陣富豪奧林比安底盤都是由位於蘇格蘭Irvine廠房生產，並一如其前輩利蘭奧林比安一樣，全數在蘇格蘭Falkirk的工場，裝上由亞歷山大提供的單門版車身，故堪稱是百分百蘇格蘭出品。
城巴隊中大部份的十二米富豪奧林比安都是配上富豪自家的引擎，故此城巴在這批巴士上亦不作他想，配上原廠TD102KF引擎。至於傳動系統則是ZF4HP500波箱，這跟利蘭時代的奧林比安沒有兩樣。當十部巴士於一九九四年八月出牌投入服務後，迅即解決當時赤柱路線車源緊張之問題。在隨後時間，十點四米的丹尼士巨龍投入服務後，減少了它們在赤柱路線之重要性。目前，十架短陣富豪奧林比安除了多見服務於南區98路線，偶爾還會行走赤柱路線如6，6X，73及260。
全數十部富豪奧林比安已經進行車廂翻新工程，當中241更換上了Lite
Vision電子路線牌。隨著利蘭奧林比安逐步退役，這批少數民族更容易被發現出來，但它們距離退出載客行列日子亦不會太遠。十架富豪奧林比安中，244及247已經於二零一零年十月退役，246及248則於十一月初提早除牌，而餘下六架富豪奧林比安則繼續服務乘客，主要行走赤柱及南區一帶路線，最後兩架富豪澳林比安243及245亦於二零一一年二月尾退役。
儘管這款全球獨有的富豪奧林比安，已經完全退出載客服務，但當中四架於退役後被改作訓練巴士，接替年事已高，沒有空調設備的丹尼士禿鷹訓練巴士。首兩架T6(前239)及T7(前245)於二零一二年五月開始執行車長訓練工作。
There were only a few Volvo short
wheel-based double-decker in Hong Kong. Even in the City Bus fleet, the most loyal operator to
Volvo in Hong Kong, you can only find ten 10.4m Volvo Olympians, a very
small proportion in the fleet. This batch of Volvo Olympian can be
described as 100% made in Scotland since the chassis were manufactured in Irvine
and recieved their Walter Alexander 'R' bodyworks at Falkirk.
As most 12m Volvo Olympians are
fitted with Volvo engine, in order to standardize the fleet, 10.4m Volvo
Olympian also fitted with TD102KF engine and the transmission are same as
Leyland Olympian, ZF 4HP500 was chosen. After their commissioned in the mid. of
1994, they were assigned to Stanley routes as a solution to the problem of insufficient
fleet for the demand. The importance of these Volvo Olympians were declined as more short wheel-based version Dennis Dragon joined Stanley routes later. The Baby Volvo Olympians were then mainly serving Southern District route 98 and other Stanley routes like 6, 6X, 73 and 260.
All Volvo Olympians had undergone the cabin
refurbishment and 241 also fitted with a Lite Vision route no. electronic
display. It can be more easily to recongnized the Baby Volvo Olympian as the withdrawn of Leyland Olympian. It was not too long for all the Baby Volvo Olympian phased out from the passenger service, 244 and 247 were delicensed in Oct., 2011 while 246 and 248 both withdrawn in early Nov. 2011. The remaining survived Volvo Olympians were mainly seen on Stanley and Southern District routes until their fully withdrawl in the end of Feb., 2012.
It is not the end of the story for this unique Volvo Olympian 3-axle in the world, 4 of them are as a replacement of those aging conventioned Dennis Condor training bus. The first Two T6 (ex-239) and T7 (ex-245) were started their driver training duties in May, 2012.
